Overview
A leading firm is seeking a Senior Associate to engage in strategic conversations with founders, CEOs, and board members of US and Canadian companies. The ideal candidate will assess the strategic growth and roadmap of these companies, aiming to facilitate their exit strategies by selling to our client. This outbound sales role is focused on initiating high-quality conversations and converting opportunities, with a significant part of the compensation tied to performance. The role demands fluency in English and Spanish and a strong background in investment banking or elite business development within top technology companies.
Challenges you would face
- Engage directly with top executives of US/Canadian companies to discuss strategic growth and exit opportunities
- Successfully convince companies to engage in exit strategies with our client
- Achieve deal closures, understanding that one deal per year is a considerable success due to the multi-quarter sales cycle and high deal value
- Drive conversations and opportunity conversions through outbound sales efforts
- Facilitate the handoff from business development to M&A execution
The ideal candidate
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with a preference for native English speakers or those with significant education in English-speaking countries
- 1-3 years of sell-side experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, M&A Advisory, or M&A Transaction Services roles, preferably from Big 4 firms, large accountancies, or top Colombian/Global investment banks
- Based in Bogota/MedellĂn with plans to remain there for the next 2-5+ years
- Desire to transition from investment banking analysis to a more commercially/sales-focused and entrepreneurial role, or experience as an elite business developer in top technology companies
- Open to digital nomads in Colombia working for reputable companies, emphasizing the need for fluency in English to cover North American markets

- Interest in contributing to the growth initiative of establishing a center of excellence in Colombia to prospect into North America
