Overview

A leading company specializing in new business lines is looking for a New Business Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a Chemical Engineer (preferred), Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related field, aiming to expand in the automotive market. This role requires the representative to be actively seeking new clients for the company, predominantly working in the field around Bogotá and its surroundings.

Challenges you would face

  • Experienced in selling chemicals or chemical raw materials with at least 5 years in the field
  • Client prospecting and account management for distributing additives to the automotive lubricants, industrial lubricants, automotive coolants, brake fluids, and automotive fluid systems industries
  • Constant client visits to generate new accounts, identify opportunities, understand competitor actions, client requirements, and close deals
  • Post-sale follow-up, target achievement analysis, weekly management reports, and CRM management

The ideal candidate

  • Sales experience in the chemical distribution sector, specifically in chemical specialties
  • Ability to generate new business, new clients, with excellent internal and external communication skills, advisory skills, creativity, proactive attitude, active listening, ambition, resilience, and a fearless approach to prospecting
  • A mix of commercial and technical knowledge, with a stronger focus on commercial aspects and market knowledge

  • Preferably experience with raw materials or chemicals for the automotive and industrial lubricant industry
