Overview

A Welcome driver is the first person a traveler meets the moment he/she sets his/her feet on the ground at a Welcome destination. Being a traveler’s “Friend on the Ground”, the driver provides high-quality transportation services reflecting what Welcome stands for, its principles, and values. Our Driver Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the lifecycle of Driver-partners across a number of destinations. This role is responsible for the recruitment of drivers, ensuring our driver capacity meets the needs of the business while interacting with local driver communities daily.

Challenges you would face

  • Manage the driver acquisition process, including sourcing, lead creation, onboarding, and activation, tailored to each destination's requirements
  • Conduct driver profile checks, interviews, and training calls
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the local driver labor market and legal landscape
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new drivers, providing constant support and engagement
  • Interact with drivers daily through various channels and gather feedback to improve data accuracy and address challenges
  • Monitor driver performance and service quality, providing regular community feedback reports
  • Track driver performance metrics, conduct retraining, and ensure service quality
  • Contribute to optimizing recruitment processes and supporting documentation
  • Innovate and implement action plans for driver acquisition and retention
  • Promote the company's value and benefits to support driver referrals
  • Act as a liaison between the company and drivers, handling inquiries and feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Driver Acquisition Lead, offering data and insights related to driver performance and market challenges.

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in operations, preferably in driver acquisition, last-mile logistics, or a high-growth startup
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional time management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to multitask and set priorities efficiently
  • Analytical, creative, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, with a true teamwork spirit
  • Friendly and upbeat personality
  • Digital fluency in web and digital technologies

Plus

  • Experience working in a multicultural or international environment
  • Prior experience in the travel industry, particularly in transportation or ride-sharing services
  • Advanced proficiency or fluency in additional languages beyond English
